Colleges Continue to Extend Early Admission Deadlines

Colleges continue to extend early admission deadlines in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, giving students more time to deal with the aftermath of the storm. This trend, set by Ivy League schools, has helped to relieve anxiety among students during a difficult time.

Princeton University, which both extended its deadline and made the deadline flexible, posted the following on its site: "Because of Hurricane Sandy, the Office of Admission is extending the single-choice early action deadline for all students to Nov. 7. All applications must be submitted online or postmarked by this date, unless personal or hurricane-related issues make it difficult or impossible for you to file the appropriate forms."

See this article for a full list of schools that have either changed the deadline or stated that they will be flexible with it.
