Colleges Make the Common App Essay Optional for 2015-2016 Season

While the more competitive schools include supplemental essays in order to apply, there are other schools where the admissions officers prefer applicants to not have to write any essay at all, and the Common App has given colleges this very option for the 2015-2016 season, encouraging additional schools to join.
